Booking Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all services provided by Evolve Valeting & Detailing. By confirming an appointment, paying a deposit or asking us to begin work, you agree to these terms.
1. Bookings and appointment times
Appointments are arranged for an agreed date and approximate arrival time. Although every reasonable effort will be made to arrive as scheduled, timings may be affected by travel, earlier appointments, weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you.
Recurring appointments are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed for the same day or time.
We may need to postpone or rearrange an appointment because of unsafe weather, illness, equipment failure or another circumstance outside our reasonable control. Where this happens, your deposit will be transferred to a replacement appointment or refunded if a suitable alternative cannot be agreed.
2. Customer responsibilities
Before the appointment, customers must:
- Remove personal belongings, valuables, money and sensitive items from the vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle is accessible and that the keys are available.
- Provide safe and lawful parking for the customer’s vehicle and our work vehicle.
- Provide sufficient space for the service to be completed safely.
- Provide access to a suitable electricity supply and water supply where these have been requested or agreed.
- Tell us about known damage, loose trim, electrical faults, aftermarket modifications, delicate materials or other issues that may affect the service.
- Tell us in advance about excessive contamination, including bodily fluids, mould, hazardous substances or pest infestations.
If the required access, facilities or working conditions are unavailable when we arrive, we may be unable to complete the service. This may be treated as a late cancellation, and a reasonable charge may apply to cover losses directly caused.
3. Pricing and payment
Our minimum booking charge is £50 per vehicle.
Prices are based on factors including:
- Vehicle size and type.
- Vehicle condition.
- Location.
- The service selected.
- The level of contamination.
- Access and working requirements.
Any advertised “from” price is an indication only.
Prices provided from photographs, descriptions or messages are estimates based on the information supplied. We will assess the vehicle inside and out before beginning work and advise you if its condition requires any change to the agreed service, price or expected completion time.
On rare occasions, the full extent of contamination, staining, paint defects or other issues may only become apparent once work has begun on a specific area. If this happens, we will explain what has been found and discuss any additional work, time or cost with you before proceeding further.
No additional work or increased charge will be applied without your agreement.
A deposit may be required to secure an appointment. Unless agreed otherwise, the remaining balance is payable when the service is completed.
4. Vehicle condition and service results
All services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Results depend on the age, condition, construction and previous treatment of the vehicle and its materials. We cannot guarantee the complete removal of every stain, odour, scratch, defect, pet hair, sand deposit or area of contamination.
Some existing wear, staining, fading, damage or previous repair work may become more noticeable once the vehicle has been cleaned.
Evolve Valeting & Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing damage, defects or failures that were not caused by our work. Nothing in these terms limits any liability or customer right that cannot legally be excluded.
Customers should inspect the vehicle when the service is completed and raise any concern as soon as reasonably possible so that it can be assessed. This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Refusal or termination of service
We reserve the right to refuse, postpone or stop work where:
- The working environment is unsafe.
- The vehicle contains undisclosed hazardous contamination.
- The requested service could cause damage.
- Important information about the vehicle has been withheld.
- A customer behaves abusively, threateningly or unreasonably.
- Continuing the service would be unlawful or unsafe.
Where work has already been completed, the customer will remain responsible for the agreed cost of that work and any reasonable losses directly incurred.
Abusive, threatening or violent behaviour will not be tolerated.
6. Customer cancellations and rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Where sufficient notice is provided, a deposit will normally be transferred to another available appointment. Any refund will be subject to the booking arrangements agreed when the appointment was confirmed and any reasonable, non-recoverable costs already incurred.
Where fewer than 24 hours’ notice is provided, or where we arrive and cannot carry out the service because the customer or vehicle is unavailable, we may retain all or part of the deposit and/or apply a reasonable cancellation charge.
Any cancellation charge will reflect the loss directly caused by the cancellation, taking account of costs we have saved and whether the appointment can be filled by another customer.
7. Statutory cancellation rights
Where a booking is made online, by telephone or away from our business premises, you may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within 14 days of it being made.
Where you request an appointment that begins during that cancellation period, you will be asked to confirm that you want the service to begin early. If you cancel after work has started, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already provided.
Once the service has been fully completed, your statutory right to cancel may end where you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that consequence.
8. Cancellations by Evolve
Where we cancel an appointment, any deposit paid will be transferred to a replacement date or refunded.
We will not be responsible for indirect losses arising from a delay, cancellation or rescheduling caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. This does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Concerns and complaints
Any concern should be reported as soon as reasonably possible, together with photographs where appropriate.
We must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and, where appropriate, put the matter right before another business carries out remedial work.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
10. Privacy
Personal information supplied during an enquiry or booking will be used to manage the appointment, provide the service and communicate with you.
Further information is available in our Privacy Notice.
11. Agreement
These terms should be read before confirming a booking. By paying a deposit or confirming the appointment, you acknowledge that you have received and accepted them.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and do not restrict any mandatory consumer rights.
